Author Mary Jean Kelso is a recipient of  "The Nevada Press Association" and

"The National Press Association Award."

 

She is a multi-genre' author who has written for numerous magazines and newspapers, including The Lahontan Valley News.  She worked as an Editor and as a Customer Services Representative for a Raytheon Company.  

 

Mary Jean is the second great-granddaughter of The Oldest Alamo Defender, Gordon C. Jennings.

Mary Jean is a Member of The Alamo Defenders Descendants Association,

The Daughters of the Republic of Texas, The Daughters of the American Revolution

and The Alamo Society.
